Designed by Danish designer Cecilie Manz in 2005, the Caravaggio Pendant Light offers a modern take on classic lighting. Its bold silhouette and fluid curves lend it a distinctive character. Named after the Italian Baroque painter Caravaggio, whose works are known for their dramatic use of light, the design captures a similar interplay between illumination and shadow.

The shade is made from matt or high-gloss aluminium or mouth-blown opal glass, suspended by a simple steel fitting that keeps the form clean and understated. Available in several colour options, the shade is paired with a cord in a matching or contrasting finish depending on the version: Please refer to the technical information tab for further details. The opal glass shade (P2, P3) includes a support wire alongside the standard metal fittings, providing extra reinforcement for the delicate glass.

Featuring an open-top shade design, it casts some light upwards, while the downward light offers both practical illumination and a warm, atmospheric mood. This dual direction of light softens the surroundings and adds depth to the space, making it suitable for both ambient settings and areas where focused lighting is needed. Available in three different sizes, the lamp can be hung on its own or arranged in a group to create a more sculptural look.
