Designed for HAY by Jasper Morrison, Pack Chair is a contemporary reinterpretation of the wooden trattoria chair. Its simple, familiar form is refined through subtle proportions and considered details, resulting in a chair that feels both recognisable and contemporary.
The seat is made from 80% recycled polypropylene and 20% wood fibre, while the backrest is available in the same material or lacquered solid oak. A gently contoured seat and curved backrest add ergonomic comfort without compromising the chair's clean, minimal lines. The chair comes with a removable upholstered seat cover that can be easily fitted for additional comfort. A concealed groove beneath the seat allows the cover to be fitted securely without the need for tools. It can also be easily removed for hand washing or dry cleaning, making it practical for everyday use.
Designed as a flat-pack chair for efficient transport and storage, the solid oak legs lock securely into the moulded underside of the seat. Concealed fixings ensure excellent stability while maintaining a clean, screw-free exterior. Available in a range of colours, the Pack Chair 11 combines clean, minimal aesthetics with everyday comfort, making it a versatile addition to a variety of residential and commercial interiors. A non-upholstered version is also available.
