To celebrate the 70th anniversary, this special edition of the PK61 is presented in grey-white rolled granite, introduced for 2026. The table features a Viscount granite tabletop, defined by a subtle, light-toned surface that enhances its sculptural clarity and brings a refined sense of tactility and permanence. Its distinctive veining and rolled finish highlight the natural character of the stone, reflecting Poul Kjærholm’s interest in the relationship between organic materials and industrial form. Together, the steel frame and granite top create a composition of quiet contrast, precise yet warm, minimal yet expressive.

Designed by Danish cabinetmaker Poul Kjærholm in 1956, the PK61 table reflects a precise and architectural approach to furniture. As part of the PK series, developed throughout the 1950s and 60s, the table highlights an ongoing exploration of material contrast, proportion and structure. Featuring a brushed spring steel base and a square tabletop, the PK61 presents a clear geometry and a balanced use of natural and industrial materials. The 3 cm thick tabletop ensures stability and durability, emphasising careful craftsmanship. The tabletop is supported by four slender frame bars, each positioned along an edge, reinforcing an open and lightweight appearance.

With a low profile and square tabletop, the PK61 fits easily into living spaces and lounge settings without disrupting the visual flow of a room. Covered by Fritz Hansen’s 20 year warranty as part of the Poul Kjærholm collection, the PK61 table is designed for long term use and lasting appreciation.

The PK61 Table is also available in other surface finishes.
