Designed by Jonas Trampedach for Frama, the Rivet Side Table is a versatile furniture piece. Its circular top is divided into three different levels to provide a dynamic surface with different spaces for storage or display. This interesting design serves to strengthen the construction and elevates it to a sculpture, whilst remaining functional and minimal.

Aluminium is inherently soft and can therefore be difficult to weld and screw. With that in mind, a riveting technique was developed for the Rivet series project. Based on the traditional hand construction technique of riveting, the Rivet Series is made of laser-cut raw aluminium sheets, hereafter joined together by hand using a basic hammer tool. The traditional riveting technique takes advantage of the aluminium's workability making it easy to shape. Hand-made in a local workshop, the designs will show natural irregularities. In keeping with the purity of the design and honest construction, the aluminium is left untreated. The raw aluminium surface will develop its own and unique graceful patina over time.

The Frama's Rivet Collection is a series of both functional and aesthetically striking pieces suitable for any room or space.

    This product is designed by
    Jonas Trampedach

After graduating from The Royal College of Art, London in 2009, Jonas Trampedach established his design studio in Copenhagen, focusing on products, furniture and lighting.

The studio has a varied approach when working with materials, processes and techniques, to create work that spans design for mass production to limited editions and unique pieces. Jonas Trampedach's work is based on clear legible principles, often with a sculptural quality. While the majority of his projects can be defined as industrial design, many of these also tend to incorporate elements of craft.
