Designed by Paris-based Normal Studio, Muuto Wrap is a soft lounge chair with a duvet-like upholstery draped over the steel frame, allowing a deep sense of comfort. Featuring an angled seat, the generous size of the chair allows for different sitting positions for reading and relaxing while the soft, cushiony fabric supports the body.
Constructed from a powder-coated tubular steel base, a 100% recycled post-consumer plastic inner shell with steel reinforcement and multiple layers of foam and wadding, the cleverly made Wrap Lounge Chair is a sturdy and timeless piece. While its upholstered soft cushion offers ultimate comfort, its generous shape is supported by a steel frame creating a contrasting look of airy lightness. The Wrap sculptural aesthetic makes the chair an elegant statement piece in any environment.
Norma Studio on the design: "Designing the Wrap Lounge Chair, we had the image of a lounge chair with a soft blanket simply draped around its ample silhouette in mind, playing with models and prototypes to find a fluid way of incarnating this idea. We were driven by the idea of creating a really snug chair with an enveloping feel and generous proportions that don’t feel chunky."
