Created by Norwegian designer Andreas Bergsaker, the HAY Chisel collection has now expanded to include dining chairs, stools, bar stools and dining tables, creating a timeless family of wooden furniture with a distinctly contemporary look. Named after the classic carpentry tool, Chisel was created from a desire to design solid wooden furniture with a distinctive silhouette that would stand the test of time.

Developed with optimal craftsmanship and ergonomics in mind, the bar stool’s curved seat provides good support in a visually inviting way, complemented by angled legs that echo the chisel reference through their characteristically bevelled edges. Gently curved edges follow the natural position of the sitter’s legs, creating additional space and comfort when seated. An optional footrest protector can be fitted on both sides of the bar stool, protecting against wear while allowing it to be used comfortably from either direction.

Available in a wide variety of wood types and colours, the bar stool is suitable for a range of interiors, from kitchens and dining spaces to bars and other public settings. A seat-upholstered version is also available.
