Created by Norwegian designer Andreas Bergsaker, the HAY Chisel collection has now expanded to include dining chairs, stools, bar stools and dining tables, creating a timeless family of wooden furniture with a distinctly contemporary look. Named after the classic carpentry tool, Chisel was created from a desire to design solid wooden furniture with a distinctive silhouette that would stand the test of time.
Crafted in oak veneer with solid oak end sections, the table features a rectangular tabletop supported by four angled legs, with characteristically bevelled edges that subtly reference the carpentry tool behind its name. The extendable design features two integrated butterfly leaves that fold out from beneath the tabletop, providing additional surface space when needed. When not in use, the leaves fold neatly away beneath the tabletop for convenient storage. With the leaves extended, the table expands from 180 cm to 280 cm in length, offering generous space for larger gatherings.
Available in different wood finishes, the table’s versatile design makes it suitable for a variety of settings, from spacious dining areas and kitchens to offices, meeting rooms and other public spaces.
