The Courier Desk is designed by French artist and designer Ronan Bouroullec. The desk's side profile resembles the form of a serif letter, which led to the name Courier as a reference to the classic serif typeface. Influenced by the iconic V-shaped legs of Jean Prouvé’s Compas Direction desk, he simplified the geometry to create a more balanced and elegant silhouette. The design reflects his creative approach and highlights his focus on form, composition and technical expertise.

Constructed from an oiled or varnished oak plywood tabletop and a powder-coated die-cast aluminium frame, the table combines durability with structural stability. The moulded plywood construction adds visual character and strength, and the gently raised edge helps keep small items, books or devices neatly in place, offering a practical surface for everyday storage or display. The combination of lightweight plywood, a solid aluminium base and curved lines brings charm and harmony to the design.
