The Tom Dixon Flare Top Opal E27 Pendant Light reinterprets classic forms through simple, modern geometries, creating an elegant sculptural silhouette. The Top shape features a softly rounded, elongated droplet form that tapers to a point at both ends, giving the pendant a fluid, sculptural appearance. Inspired by scientific glassware, the Flare pendants draw on decades of fascination with borosilicate glass, translating this precise material into expressive lighting forms.
Crafted from mouth-blown, triple-layer cased opalescent glass in a clear-opal-clear construction, the pendant creates a soft, warm and evenly diffused light while maintaining a smooth, sculptural form. Each piece is blown using a series of metal moulds for consistent shaping. The pendant is designed for use with a T10 or T12-shaped E27 bulb and is supplied with a generous 3.5 m white fabric cord, allowing the drop height to be adjusted to suit different settings. It can be used individually or grouped at varying heights to create a striking multi-pendant arrangement in both residential and commercial spaces.
The Flare collection is available in two distinct shapes, Bead and Top, both featuring soft, ballooning organic silhouettes inspired by the fluid forms of water. The Flare Top Pendant Light is also available in a Silver finish with an integrated LED light source.
