1968年にデンマークの伝説的デザイナー、ピート・ヘインとスウェーデンのデザイナー、ブルーノ・マットソンによってデザインされたフリッツ・ハンセンのテーブルシリーズは、スーパー楕円、スーパー円、円形、長方形のテーブルで構成されており、いずれも時代を超えて愛されるアイコニックな名作です。スーパー楕円テーブルは、ストックホルムのセルゲル広場の交通問題を解決するためにピート・ヘインが考案した「スーパー楕円形」のラウンドアバウトからインスピレーションを得て誕生しました。
フェニックスラミネート加工の天板にポリッシュ仕上げのアルミニウムエッジ、スチール製のベースを組み合わせたこのテーブルは、楕円と長方形の要素を融合させた独自のスーパー楕円形が特徴で、個性的かつ優雅な佇まいを演出します。革新的なフェニックスラミネート素材を採用することで、表面は指紋がつきにくく、マットでソフトな質感を実現したほか、熱による表面の微細な傷の修復も可能です。

Materials/Construction
Tabletop - Laminate (*Fenix), aluminium edge.
Base - Chromed or powder-coated steel.
*FENIX materials, composed of over 60% paper and 30-40% thermosetting resins, feature low light reflectivity and are highly resistant to scratches, abrasion, dry heat, acid-based solvents, and household chemicals. These laminates have a matte finish that is soft to the touch and easy to maintain.

The Superellipse Dining Table is available in a wide range of tabletop and base combinations, a small selection of which is shown on this website page. The veneer tabletop is available in one finish: Walnut Veneer. The laminate tabletop comes in six finishes: White, Black, Grey, Grey Efeso, Grey Bromo, and Brown Ottawa. The base is available in six finishes: chromed steel, or powder-coated steel in White, Black, Silver Grey, Warm Graphite, and Brown Bronze. Non-standard configurations are available upon request. Please get in touch for a bespoke quote if you would like a tabletop and base combination that is not available online.
